Police in Nagpur have registered a case against a 28-year-old Chartered Accountant, Suraj Rajkumar Soni, and his girlfriend, an engineering student, after a video showing them in an obscene position in a moving car went viral on social media. The incident occurred in the Dharampeth area, where Soni was driving with his girlfriend on his lap, hugging and kissing him. The video, shot by a passerby, captured the girlfriend performing obscene acts while Soni was at the wheel. As the footage spread online, the police took cognizance of the matter and traced the car's owner through its registration number. Charges have been filed against Soni and his girlfriend under sections 296 (obscenity), 281 (rash driving), and 293 (nuisance in a public place) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, as well as the Motor Vehicles Act and Maharashtra Police Act.
