A devastating cloud burst has struck Sikkim's Singtam, sending panic across the state. As per the reports, the cloudburst occurred upstream of Chungthang in the Mangan district. The cloud burst has caused severe flooding in low-lying areas of the northeastern state. The authorities sounded an alert after the Sikkim cloud burst. 23 army personnel have been reported missing due to a flash flood that occurred in Teesta River in Lachen Valley after a sudden cloud burst over Lhonak Lake in North Sikkim, informed Guwahati Defence PRO.
