Delhi Police seized two illegal Chinese mobile jammers at Palika Bazaar on Saturday, arresting shop owner Ravi Mathur for unauthorised possession. The devices, capable of disrupting cellular signals within a 50-metre range, had jammed incoming and outgoing calls, displaying “no network” on phones. Police reported that Mathur purchased the jammers from Delhi’s Lajpat Rai Market for INR 25,000, intending to resell them at a profit. Under Centre’s guidelines, only authorised government and defense personnel may use such equipment. The police informed the Telecommunication Department about the violation and have launched searches in other markets across Delhi.
