A total of five people died allegedly due to extreme exhaustion during the Indian Air Force (IAF) air show at Marina Beach in Tamil Nadu's Chennai. Speaking about the incident, Priya Rajan, Mayor of Chennai, said the Tamil Nadu government had taken all the measures. "Due to some mistakes, there were 5 deaths. 15 lakh people had participated in the event. As it is hot & humid in Chennai, some people got dehydrated and fainted there," she added. Priya Rajan also said that heat was the cause of the deaths.
