Chandigarh: 24-Year-Old Madrasa Teacher Asks Student To Massage His Legs, Sexually Assaults Him; Arrested Under POCSO

A 24-year-old Madrasa teacher sexually assaulted a 13-year-old minor. He was arrested under the POCSO Act on Friday, September 27.

Chandigarh, September 29: A 24-year-old madrasa teacher in Chandigarh has been accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy. The arrest followed after the boy confided in his parents, who reported the matter to the police on Friday, September 27. The teacher now faces charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The teacher, Mohammad Salik from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly called the boy into a secluded room and asked him to massage his legs and then he sexually assaulted him. The police have launched a thorough investigation to determine whether Mohammad Salik has been involved in any similar incidents in the past. Authorities are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to uncover any additional information that could shed light on Salik's behaviour. He has been formally charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, a law designed to protect minors from sexual exploitation and abuse. In a similar incident, The accused, identified as 24-year-old L Siddique from Kadackal Kanjirathummoodu Bismi Bhavan, 28-year-old S Muhammed Shameer from Jasmin Villa near Karibah Auditorium, and 30-year-old Muhammad Rasalal Haq from Ganeshpur in Uttar Pradesh's Kheri district. The trio allegedly used the guise of a madrasa to exploit young students, subjecting them to unnatural sexual abuse.
