Chandigarh, September 29: A 24-year-old madrasa teacher in Chandigarh has been accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy. The arrest followed after the boy confided in his parents, who reported the matter to the police on Friday, September 27. The teacher now faces charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The teacher, Mohammad Salik from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly called the boy into a secluded room and asked him to massage his legs and then he sexually assaulted him. In a similar incident, The accused, identified as 24-year-old L Siddique from Kadackal Kanjirathummoodu Bismi Bhavan, 28-year-old S Muhammed Shameer from Jasmin Villa near Karibah Auditorium, and 30-year-old Muhammad Rasalal Haq from Ganeshpur in Uttar Pradesh's Kheri district. The trio allegedly used the guise of a madrasa to exploit young students, subjecting them to unnatural sexual abuse.
