Karnataka Transport Minister Ramanalinga Reddy on Monday clarified that carpooling is not banned in Bengaluru after news reports claimed it was no longer allowed in the city. Ramalinga Reddy said that cars need to have yellow registration boards to operate as carpooling cabs. “We have not banned carpooling. First, let them take permission. They have not taken permission. Where is the question of banning? They should have yellow boards to operate as carpooling cabs. I have a meeting with them on Tuesday and We will take a decision,” Ramalinga Reddy said.
