The Chief Medical Officer in Bulandshahr has suspended Dr. Hari Prasad, the vaccination officer at the Dharpa Community Health Centre (CHC), after a video revealed beer cans, soda, and water bottles stored in a fridge designated for vaccines. Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Harendra Bansal led the investigation, and CMO Dr. Vinay Kumar Singh issued warnings to CHC in-charge Dr. Praveen Kumar and two staff members. The health department emphasised that storing non-vaccine items with vaccines can compromise their safety. An ongoing investigation aims to identify who introduced these items and posted the images on social media.
