In Patna, the capital of Bihar, significant chaos has been reported, particularly at the Dak Bungalow square, where protesters have gathered in large numbers. Amidst the chaos, the police resorted to a lathi charge to disperse the crowd. In a surprising turn of events, a Bihar Police jawan mistakenly beat the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) during the lathi charge. The incident occurred when the SDM attempted to switch off a generator on one of the carts. The police jawan, unaware of the SDM’s identity, struck him with a stick. It was only after the SDM introduced himself that the police realized their mistake. The jawans then escorted the SDM away from the scene.
