A four-year-old boy narrowly escaped a major accident at the Baiyappanahalli Metro station on Thursday night. The child, who was playing with his sister, fell onto the railway track at 9:08 pm on August 1. Quick-thinking Metro officials immediately switched off the power supply and instructed train operators to halt their trains. The boy sustained only minor scratches behind his ear. Train operations, which were stalled for seven minutes, resumed after receiving the all-clear. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) praised its alert staff for preventing a potential disaster. In a tweet, BMRCL stated, “Our vigilant staff acted swiftly to ensure the safety of the child, averting any major mishap.” Bengaluru: Two Class 10 Students Mask CCTV Camera Inside Namma Metro Train Coach, Booked.
