In a shocking incident in Bengaluru, a 45-year-old BMTC conductor was stabbed by a disruptive passenger on a moving bus. The attack occurred on Tuesday, October 1, when the conductor asked the accused, identified as Harsh Sinha, not to travel on the footboard. Sinha, a resident of Jharkhand who had lost his job at the call centre on September 20, reportedly began shouting and causing a scene before lunging at the conductor with a knife. The entire altercation was captured on the bus’s CCTV camera, which has now surfaced on social media. The video shows Sinha as he proceeded to vandalise the bus after stabbing the conductor. The incident took place near the Whitefield police station, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. Police apprehended Sinha shortly after the attack, charging him under the relevant sections of BNS.
