A Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus conductor has been suspended after a video showing him assaulting a passenger over INR 5 in change went viral on social media. The incident occurred on August 8 on route 500 DC/7. The video shows the conductor demanding that the passenger, Abhinav Raj, speak in Kannada when he requested the change. The conductor then assaulted Abhinav, saying, "Record a video and show it to whomever you want." Abhinav, who recently moved to Bengaluru, expressed disappointment, stating, "For the conductor to use language as an excuse to become violent or abusive is unacceptable." In response to the public outcry, BMTC issued a suspension notice, citing the conductor's misconduct. The official statement confirmed the suspension was effective immediately due to the inappropriate behaviour with a passenger.  Bengaluru Shocker: Cops Argue Who Will Take Accident Victim to Hospital as Man Lies on Road Bleeding, Probe Launched Against Policemen After Video Goes Viral.
