Bengaluru Airport's vigilant customs officers made a significant seizure yesterday, September 6, uncovering a collection of wild animals in passenger's baggage. A total of 78 animals were discovered, including 55 Ball Pythons in various colour morphs, along with 17 King Cobras found alive, and sadly, 6 Capuchin Monkeys found deceased. The animals have been seized under Section 110 of the Customs Act, 1962. According to customs authorities, the living creatures have been returned to their country of origin, while the deceased animals were disposed of with strict adherence to proper sanitary measures.
