In a disturbing incident in Aonla village, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a 16-year-old girl was molested and threatened with religious conversion at gunpoint by two men, Aamir and Faizan, on Saturday. The girl, a student at an intermediate college, was returning from a public service center when the men blocked her path, touched her inappropriately, and brandished a gun, threatening to convert her to Islam. As the accused witnessed a crowd gathering near him, he pulled out a gun and started threatening the minor girl. He said, "It won’t take long to convert you to Islam. This is Aonla and it won’t take long to turn it into Bangladesh." As she raised an alarm, a crowd gathered, prompting the men to flee. One of the accused was caught by the public and handed over to the police, who seized the weapon and initiated an investigation. A video of the police dragging the accused by his collar has gone viral.
