A dispute erupted in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly after a man alleged that a Muslim vendor misled him into eating biryani by displaying Hindu symbols on his stall. The stall, “Chaman Fast Food Corner,” had stickers saying “Shubh Labh” and “Shubh Deepawali,” which the customer believed indicated a Hindu owner. This led to members of a Hindu organization accusing the vendor of hiding his identity to attract Hindu customers. In a viral video, the customer confronted the vendor, questioning his use of “Om” and Hindu symbols. The vendor insisted he was only serving vegetarian biryani, but the situation escalated, leading him to remove his stall. Authorities, responding to public outcry and considering CM Yogi Adityanath’s previous directive for vendors to disclose their identities, directed the Kotwali police inspector to investigate. As of now, no formal complaint has been filed, but police are reviewing the viral video for further action. Bijnor Shocker: Police Constable, His Wife Assault Female Shopkeeper After She Asks Them to Clear Unpaid Dues in UP; Probe Ordered After Video Goes Viral.
