Jyotirmath Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has called upon the Bangladeshi Army to ensure the safety of the Hindu community amid the violent protests that have swept the country. "We have been informed about political turmoil in Bangladesh. The country is under Army rule. We expect that the Army will definitely fulfill their duty to protect citizens. In Bangladesh, around 10 per cent of Hindus live there. Their protection is needed, that's why we would like to urge the Army to ensure this," Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati said.
