An all-party meeting was conducted today, August, 6 in Parliament on the ongoing Bangladesh political developments. Dr S Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister of India, briefed the MPs of different political parties on the matter. Following the meeting, Jaishankar wrote on X: "Briefed an All-Party meeting in Parliament today about the ongoing developments in Bangladesh. Appreciate the unanimous support and understanding that was extended." Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi also attended the briefing. Bangladesh has been witnessing violent protests over job quotas. The protests led to Sheikh Hasina's resignation as Prime Minister on Monday, August 5.
