IndiGo and Air India have cancelled all flights to and from Dhaka in response to the escalating unrest in Bangladesh following Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation amid intense anti-government protests. IndiGo, which operates seven weekly non-stop flights to Dhaka from Kolkata and other Indian cities, announced the suspension earlier today. Air India had already cancelled its scheduled flights to and from Dhaka with immediate effect on Monday. The airline operates two daily flights to Dhaka from New Delhi. Both airlines cited the "emerging situation" in Bangladesh as the reason for the cancellations.
