Mumbai Police arrested 2 persons after a car race between a BMW and a Mercedes caused a cab to overturn on Bandra-Worli Sea Link. A family of four, including a 10-year-old child, had a narrow escape on Sunday when the cab they were travelling in overturned after being struck by a BMW. The BMW reportedly lost control while allegedly racing with a Mercedes on the Bandra-Worli Sea-Link. The Worli police have arrested the drivers of both vehicles, identified as Shahbaz Khan (31) and Tariq Chaudhary (29), on charges of attempted culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported in the incident. According to police sources, the accident occurred around 10:30 AM near pillar number 19 on the northbound stretch of the Sea-Link. The police control room was alerted following the crash, and both drivers were promptly taken into custody by the Worli police.
