In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich district, three Dalit boys, aged 12-14, were brutally thrashed, tonsured, and paraded with blackened faces after being accused of stealing 5 kg of wheat. The incident occurred in Tajpur Tedia village under Nanpara police limits on Tuesday. The victims’ families allege the boys were tortured for not reporting to work at a poultry farm owned by the accused. The perpetrators wrote “thief” on the boys’ forearms and tied their hands before parading them through the village. Following a complaint by the families, police arrested Nazim Khan, Qasim Khan, Inayat, and Sanu under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and SC/ST Atrocities Prevention Act.
