Heavy rainfall led to a severe waterlogging in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya on Wednesday. News agency PTI shared a video of waterlogged roads of Ayodhya on social media. The second consecutive day of rainfall affected the city, leaving water seepage into houses, shops, and offices overnight. Reports of leakage of the roof of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple's sanctum sanctorum surfaced online. Ram Temple's head priest, Acharya Satyendra Das, alleged that water started leaking from the roof, and there was no proper way to drain it out amid rainfall.
