Ashwin Dani, the co-founder of Asian Paints, passed away at 79 on Thursday, September 28. He was also serving as the Non-executive Director of Asian Paints. In 1968, Dani began his career at Asian Paints, founded by his father in 1942, as a senior executive. He worked his way up the ranks and eventually became the company’s leader. Dani’s contribution was crucial to the company’s growth, which is now the largest paint manufacturer in India, with a group turnover of Rs 21,700 crore.
