Four masked armed assailants shot two people at Balu Ghat aka Reti Ghat in Kaji Chowk village on August 13. The area falls under Sandesh police station area of Bihar's Arrah district. One of the injured, 20-year-old Sonu Kumar, is a resident of Bhimpura village in Ajimabad police station area, while the other is 27-year-old Mukesh Kumar Gupta, a resident of Saraiya village in Sandesh police station area. Both the injured are sand loaders and were admitted to a private hospital, where they were operated upon to remove the bullets. Santosh Kumar, the station in-charge, reached the spot when he got the information and the police seized cartridges and shells from the spot.
