12509 Bengaluru-Guwahati Express passengers experienced a scare on Saturday evening when smoke filled the S-7 coach at Andhra Pradesh's Simhachalam railway station. Witnesses reported seeing flames under the coach, which were quickly extinguished by fire tenders. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The train resumed its journey after a brief delay. Railway officials later clarified that the smoke was caused by brake binding, not a fire. Divisional Railway Manager Saurabh Prasad confirmed that the smoke resulted from a transient brake system fault and that the fire extinguisher was used as a precaution. The train was halted for 20 minutes and departed Simhachalam at 9:30 pm. Hyderabad Train Fire: Blaze Erupts in Train Bogie at Secunderabad Railway Station, Videos Surface.
