Authorities in Agra have launched an investigation after a video showing two men urinating in the gardens of the Taj Mahal went viral. The incident has sparked outrage, with many questioning the effectiveness of security measures at the iconic monument. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is examining the video to determine its origin, while plans are underway to increase security personnel in the gardens to prevent such behaviour in the future. Agra ASI chief RK Patel stated that the Taj Mahal's in-charge has been asked for an explanation, and security has been tightened. Deepak Daan, President of the Guide Association, condemned the incident, highlighting the availability of two toilets within the complex. Vishal Sharma, Secretary of the Agra Tourist Welfare Chamber, criticised the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and ASI personnel for their lack of vigilance, questioning the monument's overall security and the management’s alertness in such situations. Taj Mahal's Main Dome Sees Water Leakage After Incessant Rain in Agra, ASI Claims No Damage; Video Goes Viral.
