A brand new Mercedes crashed into a roadside railing on Dumas Road in Surat’s Piplod area in Gujarat on Monday night. The driver, a woman who had recently purchased the car, lost control of the speeding vehicle, as captured by a CCTV video. The video shows the car driving dangerously close to the edge of the road before it suddenly swerves and collides with the iron railing that separates the bus lane from the rest of the traffic. The impact was so strong that the car burst through the railing and came to an abrupt halt. Within seconds, a crowd of onlookers rushed to the spot and gathered around the vehicle to check on the driver. They opened the car’s door to assist her. After a while, she slowly stepped out of the vehicle and stood beside it. While she appeared to be unharmed, police confirmed that she suffered minor injuries in the accident as the car’s airbag had deployed.
