India underwent a big collapse in their batting against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four as the pitch in R Premadasa Stadium started to viciously turn with inconsistent and the man forcing the collapse was 20-year-old left arm spinner of Sri Lanka, Dunith Wellalage. He dismissed Kl Rahul, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya to take a five-wicket haul and became the youngest Sri Lankan spinner to achieve the feat. The previous record was held by Charith Buddhika who achieved this in 2001 against Zimbabwe at 21 years.
