On Wednesday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that there is no proposal to merge NEET, JEE, and CUET. Pradhan made this statement while he was interacting with students of a coaching centre in Rajasthan's Kota, Rajasthan. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla was also present at the event. Surprisingly, Pradhan's comments contradicts UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar's statement who last month said that the Centre is exploring the possibility of merging undergraduate Medical and Engineering entrance tests with the new exam CUET.
