Simran Budharup recently took to Instagram to share her ‘disheartening experience’ during her visit to Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja. The Pandya Store actress described how her trip to seek blessings with her mother turned sour due to the behaviour of the staff. According to Budharup, a man from the organisation snatched her mother’s phone while she was taking a picture in the queue, even though she wasn’t causing any delay. When her mother tried to retrieve the phone, he pushed her. As Budharup intervened, the bouncers allegedly ‘rough-handled’ her, and when she started recording the incident, they attempted to snatch her phone too. It was only when they realised she was an actress that they backed off. Budharup expressed her disappointment at the aggression and disrespect they faced, stating, “I understand that managing crowds is challenging, but it’s the staff’s responsibility to maintain order without misbehaving or harming devotees.” Ganesh Chaturthi 2024: Devotees Queue Up in Large Numbers at Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai for Lord Ganesh’s Darshan (Watch Videos).
