On Gandhi Jayanti today, the makers of the show have confirmed that Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman will compose music for Gandhi. The series draws inspiration from historian Ramchandra Guha’s acclaimed books, ‘Gandhi Before India’ and ‘Gandhi: The Years That Changed the World, 1914-1948’. The first season will focus on Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi's early years, showcasing his time as a law student in London and his work as a lawyer and civil rights activist in South Africa.
