2018 is a Malayalam disaster-thriller drama directed by Jude Anthany Joseph who has co-written the screenplay with Akhil P Dharmajan. The film is based on the Kerala flood tragedy of August 16, 2018.
Tovino Thomas' career is going from strength to strength. He became the first South Indian actor to win the Best Asian Actor award at the Septimius Awards for his performance in 2018: Everyone Is a Hero. The Malayalam actor was overjoyed to receive this honor at the prestigious event, held on September 26 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Immediately after receiving the award, Tovino wasted no time sharing a photos of himself holding the trophy and expressing his gratitude. He wrote, 'What makes this international recognition special is that it's for my performance in 2018 movie. This one... is for Kerala.'
