Tamil director Mohan G was arrested on Tuesday (September 24) after he claimed that contraceptive pills were added to the Panchamritham offered to the devotees at Shri Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple (Palani Swamy Temple) in Tamil Nadu. The shrine, dedicated to Lord Murugan, is visited by thousands of devotees from across the country is famous for its panchamritham (Prasadam) offering. In an interview for a YouTube channel, Mohan G said, "I heard certain people were mixing contraceptive pills in the panchamritham served to devotees."
