Renowned filmmaker Sangeeth Sivan, celebrated for directing his Malayalam and Hindi movies, has passed away at the age of 65 while receiving medical care at a private hospital in Mumbai. Following his demise, his brother, filmmaker Santosh Sivan, expressed his grief in a heartfelt post.

Filmmaker Santosh Sivan has expressed his grief over the passing away of his brother, director Sangeeth Sivan, on May 8. Taking to his X (previously Twitter) handle, he fondly remembered his "dearest brother".  Sharing the news of his elder brother's passing as reported by a news portal, Santosh Sivan wrote, "My dearest brother RIP God Bless." Sangeeth Sivan reportedly breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mumbai.
