After a detailed report issued by the Justice Hema Committee, many big names from the Malayalam film fraternity have been called out for sexual assault and misconduct by female artistes. Amid this, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has urged the Telangana government to publish a similar report requesting support for women in the Telugu industry. Taking to her Instagram stories on Friday, the actress lauded the efforts of the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) in Kerala and the Voice of Women for raising voices against sexual harassment in the industry. She wrote, "We, the women of Telugu industry, welcome the Hema Committee report and applaud the persistent efforts of the WCC in Kerala, which has laid the path to this moment.
