Telangana minister Konda Surekha recently stirred controversy with her comments about Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya's divorce. The minister linked their split to Bharat Rashtra Samiti's (BRS) president KT Rama Rao. Her comments have sparked outrage among several members of the film fraternity including Akkineni Nagarjuna, Allu Arjun and also several BRS leaders. The latest one on the list is HanuMan star Teja Sajja. Taking to his X (previously Twitter) handle, the Telugu actor called out Konda Surekha for her "shallow opinion on actors". Reminding her of how important actors are, he wrote, "While 3L votes may make you. People’s Representative, earning the trust of 100 million, is what it takes to be an actor. It is entirely unacceptable to demean anyone, especially women, in such a manner. He continued, "It’s disheartening that you have such a shallow opinion on us actors. As actors, we are at the forefront of societal contributions—be it through donations, social services, or taxes. Despite our significant efforts, we are the ones unfairly targeted for attention." He concluded his note by condemning the "exploitation of personal lives for political gain" and requested to keep such discussion out of political discourse.
