A Bengaluru court has extended the judicial custody of actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, his friend Pavithra Gowda, and 15 other suspects in the Renukaswamy murder case until July 18.
On July 4, a Bengaluru court extended the police custody of actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and 16 others for a further two weeks, until July 18, in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case, according to Bangalore Times. During a video conference from their respective prisons in Bengaluru and Tumakuru, the magistrate reviewed the cases of all seventeen accused, including Darshan and Pavithra Gowda, as their judicial custody expired. Police reports suggest that Renukaswamy, a 33-year-old fan, had allegedly sent inappropriate messages to Darshan’s wife, Pavithra, inciting the actor’s wrath and leading to the fan’s murder. Renukaswamy’s body was discovered on 9 June. Renukaswamy Murder: Pavithra Gowda Applies Make-Up in Police Custody, Karnataka Police Issues Notice to Woman Cop (Watch Video).
