‘L2: Empuraan’, written by Murali Gopy and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, will feature the latter in the role of Zayed Masood. The highly anticipated sequel stars Mohanlal in the lead role and brings back an ensemble cast, including Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier and Saniya Iyappan, all reprising their characters from the original film, ‘Lucifer’.
Prithviraj Sukumaran, who made his directorial debut with Lucifer and also starred in the 2019 blockbuster, is once again taking the reins for the second installment, L2: Empuraan, which is part of a planned trilogy. On his birthday today, the film’s lead actor, Mohanlal, unveiled Prithviraj’s intense first look as Zayed Masood – The Emperor’s General. In the image, Prithviraj is seen in a military uniform, holding a firearm, standing alert inside what appears to be a church.
