Renowned Malayalam director and advertisement filmmaker Shrikumar Menon has been booked after a case of sexual assault against him was filed by a junior artiste. The complaint revealed that the Odiyan director sexually assaulted the junior artiste after inviting her to a hotel room to discuss a role in an advertisement. The junior artiste, hailing from Kottayam, filed the case by e-mail which has been taken up by the Maradu police officials. This comes amid the massive allegations of sexual assault and misconduct in the Malayalam industry revealed by the Hema Committee report.
