Veteran Telugu actor Nagarjuna Akkineni has vehemently condemned recent remarks made by Telangana minister Konda Surekha regarding his son, actor Naga Chaitanya's divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu. For the unversed, in a viral video, Surekha made unfounded allegations against KTR (KT Rama Rao), BRS working minister, claiming his involvement in the couple's separation. She also accused him of influencing actors to leave the film industry and engaging in illicit activities. Nagarjuna, in a strongly worded statement on social media, urged Surekha to respect the privacy of his family. He dismissed her claims as irrelevant and false. Naga Chaitanya and Samantha announced their separation in October 2021, marking the end of their relationship. Recently, Chaitanya got engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala in August 2024.
