In the early hours of Wednesday, May 15, tragedy struck the family of young Malayalam actor Mathew Thomas when their car overturned and fell into a gutter in Sasthamugal, Ernakulam, Kerala. According to reports, Mathew's brother John, who was driving, sustained injuries, while their relative Beena Daniel succumbed to death. Beena, a retired teacher aged 61, was rushed to the hospital but passed away despite efforts to save her. Mathew's parents, Biju and Susan, along with Beena's husband Saju, are also hospitalised and receiving treatment for their injuries.
