Acclaimed Telugu director Prasanth Varma unveiled the upcoming part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU) titled Mahakali on Thursday (October 10). The announcement comes after the massive success of his superhero film HanuMan starring Teja Sajja. Prasanth Varma will be taking charge of scripting the story for the film, and Puja Aparna Kolluru will direct it. Taking to his X (previously Twitter) handle, Varma shared the announcement with fans by sharing the first look poster for the film. Mahakali will also blend superhero and spiritual elements with contemporary issues like we saw in HanuMan. The hype around the film is extremely high as it is dubbed to be India's first female superhero film. The poster featured a girl facing a tiger against the backdrop of a flame-lit fire wheel.
