Jailer: Delhi HC Orders Rajinikanth's Film To Stop Showing Scenes Involving RCB Team Jersey, Asks Makers To Screen ‘Edited Version’ From September 1
Rajinikanth’s film Jailer had released in theatres on August 10. The action thriller is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced under the banner of Sun Pictures.
The makers of Jailer movie have landed in trouble for exhibiting a scene that shows a contract killer in a RCB team jersey. A suit was filed by the IPL team against the makers of Rajinikanth starrer wherein they raised objections over use of their team’s jersey and depicting a negative scene. The Delhi High Court has now issued orders asking the makers to screen ‘edited version’ of the film from September 1, reports Live Law. The order issued read, “With effect from 1st September, 2023, in the theatrical depiction of the film Jailer the RCB team jersey shall stand edited/altered. The Defendants shall ensure that after 1st September, 2023, none of the theatres would exhibit the RCB jersey in any form whatsoever. Insofar as television, satellite or any OTT platform is concerned, prior to the release thereof, the altered version of the film shall be broadcasted/telecasted.” Jailer Box Office: Rajinikanth's Action Thriller Crosses Rs 525 Crore Globally.
