Filmmaker Alphonse Puthren returns to the big screen after a gap of seven years of directing his last hit, Premam, with Gold. The movie, however, got a very mixed response from both audience and critics. Now Puthren has taken to Facebook to slam the 'critics' for comparing his film with his own Premam and Neram, and not being detailed in their criticism. He used 'tea' as a metaphor to push his point, and claims that comparing Gold with Neram and Premam makes little sense since this is the first time he is making a film like 'Gold'. Gold Movie Review: Nayanthara and a Whole Bunch of Fine Actors Are Wasted in This Prithviraj Sukumaran-Alphonse Puthren Comic Thriller.
