Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and nine of his associates were detained by Bengaluru police on June 10 in connection with the murder of Renukaswamy, an assistant at a medical shop in Chitadurga, Karnataka according to reports. Recently married, Renukaswamy was kidnapped, and killed in Kamakshipalya, and his body was found with physical injuries in a drain, confirming it as murder. Darshan was taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation. The actor was apprehended at his farmhouse in Mysore and is currently in Bengaluru for further interrogation.
