The fire at Brahmapuram Waste Processing Plant in Kochi, Kerala, broke out on March 2. The city has been engulfed with thick clouds of toxic smoke emanating from the incident spot. The Kerala government has urged residents of Kochi to stay indoors as the air quality is deteriorating at Brahmapuram and its neighbourhoods. Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran shared a picture from a newspaper that has precautionary guidelines issued by district administration. The Mollywood actor tweeted, “Please take all precautionary measures and stay safe! #Cochin”.
