AR Rahman Chennai Concert Fiasco: Chinmayi Sripaada Issues Statement in Support of Women Who Allegedly Suffered Sexual Harassment at the Venue

Chinmayi Sripaada is an Indian playback singer who most recently worked on the song Aradhya, for the movie Kushi which starred Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda.

Chinmayi Sripaada came out in support of women who allegedly went through sexual harassment and were molested during the stampede for AR Rahman's Chennai concert. Women who were a part of the crowd claimed they were molested in close quarters, as men took advantage of the situation with no space to escape. Chinmayi took to X and showed her support for the women who were sexually harassed. She wrote, "You did not deserve this. You deserved music, you deserved fun, you deserved joy, you deserved a concert experience that made you cry; cry from joy you felt from the music, from feelings that evoked nostalgia."
