The synopsis of the film reads, "When a teen in rural India discovers a life-changing passion for skateboarding, she faces a rough road as she follows her dream to compete. Directed by Manjari Makijany, the cast also includes Amy Maghera, Shafin Patel, Jonathan Readwin, with special appearance by Waheeda Rehman.
Rachel Saanchita Gupta marks her debut as Prerna in Skater Girl. Her life changes when she fights the odds to make it to the National Skateboarding Championships. The film will premiere on Netflix on June 11.
