As per TOI, a thief scaled the drainage pipe to break into the sixth-floor flat of Marathi film director Swapna Joshi in Andheri, Mumbai. The intruder, captured on CCTV, entered the flat through a French window and proceeded to rummage through the belongings of the sleeping family. Despite nearly entering the director's bedroom, he was deterred by the presence of a dog. The thief managed to steal INR 6,000 from the director's daughter's purse but was caught by the family's alert cat. Reportedly, the son-in-law chased the thief out of the flat, and the director has filed a police complaint and plans to install safety grilles to prevent future break-ins. Vikhroli: Lawyer Befriends and Rapes Woman on Promise of Marriage After Helping Victim’s Mother Get Bail in Theft Case, Arrested.
