American actress Terry Ann Garr, also known as Teri Garr, passed away on Tuesday (October 29) in LA at the age of 79. The veteran actress, known for her roles in Young Frankenstein and Tootsie and Friends, died of multiple sclerosis "surrounded by her family and friends," as confirmed by her rep to the Associated Press. Garr, who battled it for over 20 years, first spoke about it in 2002 to raise awareness for others going through it. She also faced other health problems and underwent an operation to repair an aneurysm in 2007.
