Shelley Duvall, the actress known for her role as Jack Nicholson’s wife in The Shining, has died at the age of 75. Duvall portrayed Wendy Torrance, spouse of Nicholson’s axe-wielding maniac in Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 adaptation of Stephen King’s novel. She also appeared in seven films directed by Robert Altman.
